Has anyone here developed brain tumors from lyme?

If so, what were your initial symptoms?

I know of a teen with brain lesions and MS like symptoms as a result. Has had Lyme for about 10 years. No tumor though.

Wow, that IS sad, Daisies!

I've been diagnosed with MS too, but I refused to do any of the treatments because I knew it wasn't MS. I was diagnosed on it based on my symptoms and a brain scan that revealed those lovely brain lesions.

My uncle has alzheimers , i am healing little white matter with bvt ...(anti carcinigenic)

hope he publishes this in a peer reviewed journal, not a big fan of "research blogs".

still, an educated guess tells u wherever there is extra inflammation, u have a higher rate of cancer. lyme makes plenty of inflammation, so ....

I've been getting strange "head pains" over the past couple of weeks. They're not headaches. It's a weird sensation. They only last for about 15 seconds.

Also my pinky finger and tips of my fingers have gone number, along with the constant twitch and tremors.

I was just curious if anyone here has gotten glial cell cancer, because I remember reading MacDonald's article on it.

without being morbid, the ones that had it have a rather short life expectancy of 1 year or so WITH TREATMENT, so u wont gonna find many of these ppl on forum, probably most have other stuff to do than poking their keyboards in the last months of life.

but it is surely a rare case among lymies, otherwise we should have known/heard stuff....

the twitches/tremors u have are classic neuro lyme. i hope u are joking to suggest u have that AND brain cancer, that is really really unlikely

I think he is saying that the lyme could cause brain cancer.

yes but the twitches are from lyme. the chances to have lyme but twitch because of cancer are really small. i mean we all have muscle twitching and numbness here. it's the forum of the twitchers smile

bottom line is if u have been diagnosed with lyme i think it is safe to say your described symptoms are from lyme, they are typical.

It definitely can hit your brain - lyme can cause cerebral vasculitis, which is when the blood vessels in your brain become inflamed. Vasculitis is typically caused by a bacterial infection.

The neuro symptoms I had were nothing out of the ordinary of what a typical lyme person might experience, but symptoms were enough for my GP to send me for a brain mri. After mri results i was hospitalized for a week in an effort to find the cause and treatment. My hats off to the neuro doc that monitored me, he did not dismiss lyme when I suggested it as a possibility, and he advised me to see a lyme experienced doctor for treatment. The treatment is to treat for lyme.

None of the peer reviewed journals will publish this or many other articles showing these types of things. It goes against what they are saying about these infections and so they don't want to "embrace" new information - no matter how accurate it is.

I work with a group that is trying to promote his work, so this isn't just assumptions - this is what's really going on. We are looking for alternative ways to get this type of information into main stream media and medical journals.
