Babesia the Elephant. A poem.

While having a particularly bad herx last week, I finally came up with a way to describe Babesia:

Babesia is like an elephant. It whacks you over the head with its trunk, spins you in circles, teases your skin with its tail, stabs you behind the eyes with its tusks, kicks you in the stomach, sits on your chest, puts its snout to your face and sucks out your air, then trumpets a loud trembling blast into your nerves.

And the cure? Drinking its urine.

well, yeah, it only applies to the Mepron-drinkers. Perhaps the elephant is nicer to others
