Hi I just left my doctor and he wants to test me for Lyme and all the co infections. I mentioned Igenex but he highly suggested immunoscience lab. Does anyone know anything about their testing and how accurate they are?

All I edited was the title of your post to hopefully get the attention of those that know about this lab specifically. I seem to remember that they are okay, but I'm not sure.

Traci, I checked our search function in the group and there are several entries questioning that lab, it looks like there are some positive results from it, even over Igenex, but knowing ALL tests that look for antibody response in the blood are going to be hit or miss, go with it.

Just please, if you've had or are having symptoms, don't take a negative or indeterminable test to think you don't have anything and decide not to treat.

You should begin some kind of treatment now anyway. The sooner the better.

Thank y'all. And I just wanted to make sure. I'm having to pay a lot of money for these I'm just wanted to make sure it will be worth it. But even if it's negative I will still seek treatment. We've ruled out everything this is really the last option on top of that this is the only thing that explains everything that I'm experiencing.

Immunoscience ........... the Wisconsin lab and their iSpot test.

If you search for iSpot, posts will come up. Thats how the caps are spelled. It was $400 a couple years ago.

This is different than Igenix antibody band testing. It does not look for antibodies, it tests how your killer cells react/perform to a known lab specimen of living lyme bacteria. Thats the best I can explain it.

If your killer cells are super low, this test will tell you, but the basic idea of the test wont work then. However, what causes killer cells to be weak in strength or low in numbers?.....lyme is one of the few..
