Today, I left the house and drove!

And went to 4 places, one of which was Walmart to pick up a few things.

I picked up a bag of tilapia, and it said
Contains CARBON MONOXIDE to preserve color. Could they maybe have skipped that? Heck! If I wanted that I'd hang my husband's bass and trout on his truck tailpipe.

Anyway, silly post, but I'm kind of proud of myself. It's more than I've done in ages! Perhaps I'm turning the corner.

Time for a little nap with my cat.

Yay - you drove!!! That was big for me, too!

My not driving wasn't because of neurolyme - but physical symptoms...

enjoy your nap with your purring fur baby....I used to have a napping kitty,too..miss that little Rusty.

Woo hoo! This is not a little thing. It's huge. The things that make us feel normal and that we have taken for granted, are huge in Lyme world.

Also makes you feel like you are reclaiming you.

I'm so happy for you PK. Hope you rethought dinner and are having a nice big salad or basically anything without CM! Yikes.

No one understands how great that is unless you have a chronic illness. Heck I'm excited if I leave the house let alone drive. I'm so happy for you.

Yeah for you Purr!!! I remember wondering when I would ever be able to do taxes. LOL!! Now that it is the time of year, I wish I did not know. I help so many friends.

But talipia - yuck!! I never eat it. It is always farmed and not a sustainable fish. It is the name for over 100 kinds of fish. Kind of like naming all the types of gold fish.

I am pretty hep on fish and I totally will never eat this fish!

Cod is not much more expensive and if you can find wild caught, go for it. Sole is another less expensive fish and get it wild caught also.

But by far the best is the Omegas you get from salmon. Again, wild caught.

My favorite tasting is Chilean Sea Bass - it tastes like butter. Super expensive, but ooooo what a treat. Being in Cali I get a lot of fish and I love to fish. Wild stream rainbow trout is such a fighter and so good to eat.

Oh and in some places Chilean Sea Bass is called Patagonian Tooth fish. Different stores have it under different names.

As Laker said, no one understands until they have been house or bed bound! I remember when I could finally leave the house on my own too! It was the most amazing feeling!!!

Although, how are you today? Was that a bit too much? If so, do remember to take it easy today!

It feels so great, doesn't it? I hope you get to experience that sense of freedom more often now!!

But Walmart?? LOL, I avoid that place-madhouse parking lot and crowds, like the plague! Even people at Kroger push my buttons.

Eh, oh well, at least you were probably able to get most of your shopping list checked off in the one store. That's the beauty of Walmart.

Congrats on your outing! That's so wonderful.

I agree with PeteZa on the fish selections. We all should avoid farm raised as much as possible as well as certain types.

Here's hoping for more enjoyable outings.

I'm doing ok today... I usually go back to bed when I get up (this is the part where one would wonder why I got up to start with)

I didn't though and proceeded outside dressed in anti tick garb to do some light yard work.

I'm feeling my muscles. Ugh. Someone hit me over the head and knock me out to make me stop.

How many times have I lectured about overdoing it?? As my compassionate husband always says, "practice what you preach.

LOL! Sorry, PK - I'm just as bad!! And my hubby has those same words for me too! Does. Not. Help!!! Ugh!!

But do your best to 'count your spoons' carefully and use them wisely.

LOL! I loose them some days too - those are the days I just stay in bed. I still have those once in a while.
