Dr. Michael Lam (adrenal expert) contends that artimisinen can be taken continuously for 6 to 12 months.

(I am going to start artemisinen, black walnut, and next week - I'm waiting till after Easter in case I become bedridden.)

I WAS planning to take artemisinen for 40 days), AND THEN move on to the Buhner protocol (a two-month protocol from Samsura herbs).

NOW I'm wondering if I have a good result from the artemisinen if I could just continue the artimisinen while doing the Buhner protocol for two months....

Klagh - LLMD's usually won't prescribe it to be taken that long. It is believed that the small intestine can create an enzyme that will render the Artemisinin useless.

One pulse I have read is 3 days by a LLMD in Washington State.
Another LLMD prescribes it every other day.

Other LLMD's say a week is max.

If I were you, I would pulse it to be on the safe side.

Also, I've seen doses up to 1600 mg daily.

artemisinin stops being absorbed so best to pulse. i do 3 days at a time. best absorption seems to be on an empty stomach with omega 3.
I think I need to stop reading research papers. ..
