Anyone Have Success with Ceftin?

I am currently treating babesia and will continue but my doctor wants to tackle lyme a little harder. I am taking azithromycin and cat's claw and will be adding Ceftin next week.

I am wondering if this is a good drug for lyme. I am so hesitant about adding things in because I dread my response. I am only starting with one pill a day. Anybody have luck with this one?

I do remember it not being easy to take. Mine were kind of 'soft' so they started to dissolve on the back of my tongue...and they were very bitter.

I took it for about a month with Biaxin and eventually the combo or one alone, made me sick to my stomach.

The reason I took it was because I was very much outdoors and didn't want to get a sunburn with doxy.

I'm taking it. It's the first of three abx that I will be taking at once (one will be pulsed). I'm on 1000mg a day, but I took nearly a month to get there. I started with just one pill a day, did that for a week, then added another, etc. until I got to the full 4. I haven't really had any stomach issues with it, but I did Herx really badly when I tried to ramp it up too quickly.

Haven't been feeling great for a week or so, but I think it's a flare. I also tried adding Doxy on Monday, and only got two days under my belt before I had to stop, so it may still be residual from that. Don't think it's the Ceftin, though.

I took ceftin it has worked or the abx mix has I had no stomach issues I do take probiotics

I do to its took me a while to feel better and for me like a roller-coaster up days and down then more up then down now I'm down to a few down in a month

LOL - bigcat! It just shows how much we have to take healing into our own hands...read, read, read....because the Docs' aren't always knowledgeable enough to treat us...unfortunately.

I'm on Azith, Rifampin and Plaq then pulsing Ceftin 2 weeks on 2 off, am only week 1 then am and pm week 2.

I take it with a meal and haven't had any stomach issues but I've decided I have a stomach of steel lol.

The Ceftin is working, it's cranks up a mean herx for me week two and the following week off tho so prep to amp up your detox program.

I am on a pulsing protocol...where there's a week off after two weeks on. I thought I was supposed to see a trend where I would feel better on week off....so far its negligible.

I don't think I could stay on track if I didn't get 2 weeks to recover lol.

I must confess......I ate badly this week in sympathy for myself. Smart right?
