Doxy

Doc has me on doxy 3 times a week for 1st week.....2nd week doxy 3 times a week and ceftin everyday then when tolorable ceftin 2xs a day......does this sound right.....just having trouble understanding why doxy is only 3xs a week for this week and the weeks to come????

Doxy can prove to be very hard on the stomach for some people, he may be considering this. You can help with that by taking it with food (ceftin too, actually) if you need to, and don't forget to take a bunch of probiotics away from the time you take the antibiotic(s).

Also, which he probably isn't considering that this is actually some help is this will at least keep the herxing down a little.
It's a little unusual though, because doxy has a pretty short half life, but again it will give your system some time to adjust to die off toxins and moving them out of you.
