So everytime I change my meds to new antibiotics per the doctor I feel like crap for a few days then I feel almost back to normal like 80 percent but I realize its a herx from new meds but that also tells me I still have lyme bacteria in me.Will this eventually stop when I change meds and that's how I know im good to go or is this it I will always have lyme

Yes, you won't herx anymore and you will move past 80% to symptom free.
No this isn't "it".

Have you only herxed once on each protocol?


How long have you been treating?

hi girlie ive treated since January 5th herxed a few weeks at start now only herx for 5 days or so when I switch meds and once in a blue moon for no reason I will herx a day or two

So you want to herx for more than a day or two?

You don't need to herx for a week or longer for the meds to be working.

You are fortunate to have herxes that don't go on for weeks at a time,

I don't want to herx at all I want to be cured but if I herx it means im not cured correct,im not complaining im very happy how far ive come from a year ago I just thought once I finally got diagnosed right id be back to 100 percent and its not happening

We all are hoping for a cure. A cure would be a dream come true but in reality a dream. That's the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle to do everything we can do to keep these beasts in remission. I'm still working to get there. We will do it.

bigcat - I understand your disappointment.

When I finally got my positive Igenex test after 15 months of symptoms and no diagnosis...I cried happy tears.

I have always been quite healthy..and thought I would get better quickly.
But, here I am over 2 years later...still treating.


The fact that you've made progress so soon...is great. Try to be patient...and keep treating until you are 100%.
