"H1Ac- 5.7 HIGH it says I'm pre-diabetic!! YIKES! I'm 31, lean body, low body fat, I haven't been able to exercise like I want to but I never thought I would be pre-diabetic. Anyone have a causation for this?"
- that was me too. Part of it was adrenal fatigue related. There is an adrenal - glucose connection. Holy Basil will help adrenals (its an addaptogen) and lower blood glucose in many people. Dont eat fruit with red meat. Red meat increases the fruit glucose by as much as 40% when eaten together. Eat fruit between meals as a snack. Buy a cheap blood glucose meter kit for $25 at walmart or walgreens, works just as good as the delux units. Then record and check blood sugar in AM., or even after certain food to see what your spike is.
Mine went from 5.7 to 6.5 in one year. Then my "worries" were more real and the "Endo" Dr said its about
time to go to a free clinic diabetes seminar. Whatever LOL!
Its lower now - no Dr involved. He looked baffled when I mentioned treating lyme and adrenals helped my glucose levels. And my thyroid antibody PTO he tested normalized. He was stunned.
In my opinion, its worth tracking.
