I was considering a Kangen a couple of years ago, but ultimately decided against it. I couldn't find anything conclusive, but I saw enough saying that the way those machines work is by passing water over platinum / titanium plates and causes those ions to get into the water, making it alkaline. I decided that with Lymies having a tendency to have too much metals already, it wasn't something I wanted to spend that much money on.
I also remember something about many folks with Lyme also have too much ammonia in their bodies, and because ammonia is alkaline, adding alkaline water can actually make things worse. Again, I wasn't willing to spend that much money to find out I was one of those people.
Once I learned that water is alkalinized in nature by flowing over mineral-rich rock, I looked for something closer to that. What I ultimately got, was a DYLN water bottle. It has beads of minerals that sit in a filter inside the bottle and make your water alkaline. I can't speak to any results though, because I just don't use it often enough to comment. But it was only $30 ($46 now), and I thought a much better investment.
