visit their site they have guidelines but are asking for 5 min1080 hd videos of our lymelife

Hi bluelyme,

Interesting. I used to hold a grudge against the producers of Under Our Skin because they interviewed and filmed a member of this forum (who I became very good friends with) years ago when they were making the first film because she lived in Montana and was told lyme doesn't exist there.

Long story short, this member was so excited that she was going to be in this documentary but she ended up on the cutting room floor. Why? Because she went on Dr. Jernigan's protocol and when Andy came to finish up the filming she was getting better (she ended up healing 100%) and no, she didn't use any abx. She was so upset that her story was not told.

In my opinion the makers of Under Our Skin should show people who heal as well as the people who are suffering. I don't think these films should be all doom and gloom. Give the viewers some hope. Just my thoughts.

I really do understand Deejavu's point of view (and do agree with it), but these movies are more for getting the word out that these are serious infections, not nuisance infections that only need a couple of weeks of abx (or worse yet, one dose!!).

So I guess I see both sides. I'm not sure that the movies really are for those that have these infections, in my opinion, I think they are for those that don't believe what we go through.

I do also agree that they have left out those that do alternative/natural therapies. They seem to want the more shocking thing of IV's and lots of empty pill bottles. Which means they are missing a large part of the picture. They need to be telling people that abx don't work for everyone, so that people understand that it's not the end of the road if they can't tolerate the abx, or can't find a doctor willing to help them.

With all of that said though, I do hope they get this made and it makes a HUGE splash in the movie world. We need people to understand the points they can still make - it's just that I wish they would be a little more realistic.

The sequel to Under Our Skin does show the people from the first one healing...or healed.

The Ranger, Mandy, and the young gal (who was living with her parents and couldn't walk) I believed were all healed in the sequel.
...and one other (who worked for the U2 band) was being treated but not healed yet.

So, it's not that they don't want to show people have healed...just not for this movie.

Trav - I thought they showed one person who was treating without antibiotics. The gal who worked with the band - didn't she choose non-antibiotic treatment? (I could be wrong)

As I remember they didn't say a single word about herbs or other alternative therapies in both films. That was quite disappointing for me

Forgive me if i'm missing it, but what's this new one on? The first one showed a lot of controversy and the horrible experiences, the second one recovery, so what now? Is it more of the same or are they taking a new angle like they did between the first and second?

any herbies should upload their 5 min to u toob to spread the word even if it hits the cutting room floor .we just need as much publicity as possible .

as a producer its the cheap bs way of getting footage without any work imo.but as a patient its advocate by any means

i think it may be to show the lenghths we go to to treat ld and co.
maybe a show of force in sheer numbers ...i shoot abx into my heart on my kitchen table ,sting my arse with bees ,order abx and herbs online and do such "quackery as rife and seek underground iv clinics to stick whetever i can in my port from ozone to curcumin to peroxide...i would like "normies" or even other sickies to see what it takes ..idk imho diligaf

They need or someone REALLY needs to create a documentary with the new findings regarding biofilms, persistence, cystic forms and their relationship with neurodegenerative disease as well as personal stories and how to CDC lied in the 90's and still tries to clinch to their warped guidelines.
