I would call what you are experiencing a herx. If blood sugar levels are normal and you are in ketosis, dehydration could be setting in due to sodium depletion. Salty foods may be something you need to increase in the morning. I'd eat some potassium containing foods as well. Lithium can help stabilize sodium levels so low doses of lithium orotate may be beneficial. Choline deficiency could be a possibility so try eating an egg in the morning. The Biaxin must be hitting something pretty hard and since it maintains much higher blood concentrations than some of the other antibiotics, it sounds like you may have blood borne pathogens. Lyme doesn't prefer to be in the blood but when your immune system becomes depressed through multiple pathogens, it will thrive there.
By blood borne pathogen, do you mean Bart or Babs? My LLMD suspects both and will be adding Rifampin into my protocol at my next visit.
I think you may be right about
it being a herx. Mostly because all of my levels were normal - potassium, sodium, glucose, etc, but I also woke up today with major tooth and jaw pain (which is usually my telltale sign of a herx). But I also feel more "normal" than I have the last couple of days; I don't have that "off" feeling that I've had.
Thank you all for your advice and suggestions! Hopefully, it is "just" a herx. If so, it's been the scariest one yet lol
