I still have son's tick from April 16 should I test?

My son got bit April 16 and I saved tick.

Since he is already in treatment LLMD's office said not to test it.

Can I still test it? I think I should.

Where do I send it to? Thanks.

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!!!!

ALWAYS try to test the tick for as much 'stuff' as the testing place will agree to.

Here are a few places - not sure where you live:

UMass has a tick testing program:
/ag.umass.edu/services/tick-borne-disease-diagnostics
/www.tickreport.com/

Says it provides results w/in 3 days!

I may try UMass since IgenX probably very backed up.

Well, you have no guarantees that whatever the tick had was absolutely transmitted to whomever it was found attached to, but it's a starting place when you're searching for sources of illness. And, might also be good documentation for MD diagnosis and insurance coverage.
