Sorry I haven't been contributing much on here lately. It's the end of year push for our homeschooling so I've been really busy.
But I have a question about heart stuff. So my usual heart shenanigans are racing heart when I exert myself in the slightest. Like I can be sitting there with heart rate of 85. Get up and slowly go up the stairs and it's 130. It's super annoying. I also get frequent palpitations. Echo and holter a year ago revealed MVP with regurgitation, nothing else.
Well I ordered a pulse oximeter and blood pressure cuff so I can see for myself what goes on when I get completely out of breath. Revealed what I suspected. Blood pressure drops, heart rate increases and oxygen levels drop a bit. Nothing crazy dangerous.
Well last night my chest felt tight and heavy. I felt a lot of skipped beats but not randomly, all in a row. My pulse was 41. It kept happening. My chest would feel tight, pulse would drop waaay down. Then eventually pick back up to 85 or so. This is new in that before my skipped beats were never in a string like that for like a minute at a time. It kind of freaked me out but it's back to its usual stuff this morning.
If I had gone to the ER the episode would likely have been over by the time I got there. It lasted on and off about an hour. Maybe less. Just felt long because it was uncomfortable. I had a strenuous day yesterday so perhaps it was that. Or my vagus nerve was irritated.
