Hi Mike,
I would encourage you to read these articles explaining the difference between IDSA and ILADS before you rely on the ID doc's to treat you appropriately:
ILADS vs IDSA:
www.clinicaladvisor.com/controversy-continues-to-fuel-the-lyme-war/article/117160/archinte.jamanetwork.com/article.aspx?articleid=226373www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2901226/
Just as you were undertreated in the beginning (the dose should have been at least 400 mgs daily for 4 - 6 weeks according to ILADS), you will continue to be undertreated and if you don't heal, they will most likely announce you have PTLDS and tell you that you have to learn to live with it.
ILADS is nearly completely opposite with their view. It's important to know the differences so you can be sure to see the doctors that will actually help you to heal.
As far as detoxing, Those are good places to start. Some hints about
those things -
Drink the lemon water through a straw, or rinse your mouth out well after drinking lemon water. The lemon is very hard on the enamel of the teeth, even though our bodies really find it helpful.
Liver support - most here use milk thistle. If you are allergic to ragweed, do be careful, as some with a ragweed allergy can't use milk thistle (like me), but there are other things that can be used.
Start off slow on the Epsom salt baths - not too hot and not too long (10 minutes to start) until you know how your body will respond to them. It can release too many toxins from the tissues and into the bloodstream for the body to eliminate easily and can add to or even create it's own herx.
When taking a binder, whatever one you choose, do be sure to watch for constipation as this will allow the toxins to be reabsorbed back into the body through the intestinal walls. So be sure to drink lots of water with each dose, and to keep those intestines working daily.
There are other detox routines you can add in as well, if you see that you need more.
