I've had tinea for as long as can remember. It started out as a little spot under my left breast. It stayed that way until my mid-twenties when it spread a little. Not bad. In my 30's, it got on my back, but it would go away when I cut out sugar for awhile. For about a year or two now, it's been out of control on my back. It's pretty much covered the entire area. I eat no sugar - except the occasional "I didn't know sugar was in there" slip up. Like, I just found out Sriracha has sugar in it. I've limited fruits and the worst thing I eat is almond milk. I have a good amount of carbs (vegetables and occasionally white rice) - per doctor's orders and I drink tons of water. Yet, it's just not going away. I'm also on Nystatin for 8 months now. I also do apple cider vinegar almost every day.
I know my system is in chaos from the Lyme and Co. but I'm so over this tinea. I can't really apply anything to my whole back cause I can't reach back there well enough. Is there any hope? Summer is here and I want to wear tank tops, even though I don't go anywhere. Not like I can go to the beach - the fatigue is still an issue with me. I just want it gone.
Anyone have any great tips? Help?
