Most doctors have you fast for 12 hours before a blood draw when testing cholesterol. I am surprised that the tech did not tell you that you would get an inaccurate reading because you did not fast long enough.
Also, from my experience it is best not to consume alcohol 24 hours before a test. Now the alcohol in the tinctures is so minimal, but some bodies just go all wonkie on even the slightest alcohol.
Next time you are fasting for cholesterol, I would prepare the tincture and let them sit for 30 minutes so most of the alcohol dissipates. Then take the tinctures. But!!! I would not take anything 12 hours before the test, including the tinctures.
This is just my opinion. You should really talk to your doctor about it.
