Salt and Vitamin C??????

While there are some that claim this has helped, high amounts of salt are damaging to the body - although increasing the vitamin C that we get does help reduce free radical damage. I use higher amounts of vitamin C myself.

When I first started looking into 'at home' treatments when I discovered I couldn't tolerate the abx treatments, I looked into this protocol deeply - how nice would it be if it was really just that simple?? But, despite some of the claims, the reasoning for this protocol is not founded on good science - and if it worked, no one would need all the abx and herbs or other protocols that we all use. Usually if it sounds too good to be true, it is, particularly for these infections.

No, I did not try the salt/C protocol, as I said, I looked into it deeply and decided that it was not based on good science. I would encourage you to look into why it was 'created', by who and look over some of the Lyme forums to see just how successful it may or may not have been for those that have used it. I do know that some have said that they have had some improvements from it.

While I'm very well aware that there are no 'silver bullets' for these infections, I also know there are a bunch of protocols out there that simply won't work for these infections, and we all need something different. It's very rare to find two people that did every single thing identically and both healed. I'm sure it happens at times, but I have yet, in the 10 years I've been deeply involved with Lyme and company and on this forum, to see it myself. But, of course, that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
