Hi all,
So I have recently started an herbal protocol based on Buhner's remedies. As I am learning more, it seems that some of the neurological symptoms that come with lyme (brain fog, spaciness, visual snow static on vision) may actually be a symptom of bartonella. I am taking a bunch of herbs, but I also don't want to miss out on "healing time" by not directly targeting these co-infections. Would some of these herbs that I am currently taking target Bartonella? Should I add something for bart?
HERBS taken as extracts and/or teas:cats claw, red root, teasel root, japanese knotweed root, eleuthero root, echinacea root, sweet annie, wild sarsaparilla root, st. johnswort, neem leaf, thyme, oregano, astragalus, nettle leaf, cinnamon chips, saint john's wort, pau d'arco, white willow bark.

Hi Immunity,
Yes Buhner has a specific protocol for Bartonella, you are taking a few of them but there are others that he recommends.
His Bart protocol:
Japanese knotwood 1/4 to 1/2 tsp 3X day
EGCG (800 mg) with quercetin1200 mg)
L-arginine 500-1000mg daily
Cordyceps 1/4 tsp 3x day
Sida acuta 30-6- drops a day, 3 x day
Redroot 1/4 to 1/2 tsp 3x day
Milk thistle seed (1200 mg)
Hawthorn 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. 3xday
Rhodiola/ashwagandha combo equal parts,1/2 tsp 3x day
Pomegrante juice all throughout day
Vit E (200IU or 150 mg)
Make sure you research all side effects and contradictions before using. Always start with on drop tincture of one herb to see how you react to it.
Also I cant remember but I believe there were posts about
L arginine pertaining to not using it for some reason. Just thoroughly check it out first if you decide to use it.
Take care Jo
