So sorry, Randy.
My daughter got first bitten at the exact age of 2, and fell very ill. No EM rash for her.
Just keep you head as cool as possible, because you'll need it!
If a fresh bite, many LLMDs recommend antibiotics. Possibly for 3-5 weeks?
My daughter got only amoxy back then (2006), and after 5 weeks, my LLMD said to quit it: it was not working. She probably needed a more widespectrum treatment, but doxy was ruled out. I suppose today the protocols evolved, even for such small kids?
Then prepare the after abx, just in case they do not work. If you can't pay an LLMD, go Buhner.
I did a detox type of 'remedy' for my daughter: crushed chlorella (about 6 pills), about 8 drops of bear garlic tincture, 4-6 drops of propolis tincture, flaxseed oil (1 teaspoon), some enzymes or probiotics, cardamon in powder , bits of magnesium citrate, bits of honey for the taste. I think it was it (I may remember something else later... sorry, it's been a long time).
Sometimes I added other things, but I had this fixed remedy, to ease pain, herxes. She fared well on this binding mixture.
Buhner's BORRELIA herbs are quite good too. One thing you could start immediately is astragalus (if the bite if fresh, that is herb number 1). Very easy to take, not awful taste as many other herbs! You can always crush.
I see you like bee pollen. I had sometimes good experiences with it, but it did not test energetically good always (don't ask me why), so I did not give her often.
One thing we took was frozen garlic from dr. K. It is a very wide spectrum medicine, and it does not taste that bad if dissolved in water. That is how the K's practitioners recommend.
I also started recently on Vital Force products, and I am always amazed how well they work on MOOD. Certainly you have to start binders, but if they are not enough, I would add some of the formulas from Vital force (no side effects, as they are energy products).
there is a formula called Stress RElief that since I first took, I can't stop taking it. I take sometimes just ONE DROP, and that is already enough for the whole day. It does change the mood of people, I feel.
It's so hard to see kids suffer. And he's particularly in a special family situation...
One good thing with kids is that they have a better immune reaction towards lyme (so said my doctor). They recover faster than us, adults, in general.
My daughter took many of Buhner's herbs. Many, even at that early age. She did so well, taking even andrographis in powder, the most bitter stuff ever (she could not take pills, too young....). All herbs, she took in either decoctions or powdered, with some liquid (flaxseed oil, for example).
You gotta talk a lot, explain the situation, why he needs those awful tasting herbs, etc, etc. It helped a lot that I was taking the same awful tasting stuff in front of her, I think. She always took everything. Small children can be so brave.
She's now a teenager, and it is MUCH harder now to propose her any treatments. hard head.
What are you thinking to give him?
Now I have a PE1 infrared device, and I simply would use the Borrelia nosode protocol, if time could come back.
