I also have horrible pain in my tendons around the ankle, my pain is located in the achilles and also in the tendon that wraps up around the side of the ankle. Perhaps you may have tight lower leg muscles causing your tendon pain, that appears to be the cause of my tendon pain.
My tightness occurs mainly on one side of on body and hits the back of my leg muscles, calfs and hamstring are the worse.
I've found I need to do multiple things to help release my tight muscles, simply just one technique such as trigger point release or something like that is not enough for me. In my case since chronic tendon and muscle problems are caused mainly by the infection, the better I can clear the infection by using multiple methods the better my muscles and tendons seem feel.
I agree and do use most of what has been suggested here, acupuncture, stretching, light exercises, turmeric, orthotics, tape, herbs, abx have all helped me somewhat. Also on my list is boluke. If I take time off from boluke my calf muscles tend to require more work to keep loose.
In my case I found that it requires a full regime to keep my muscle in check including all methods of detoxing to help get the inflammation down. Some days my head can feel herx free and I feel good, but if I then slow down on the detox because I'm feeling good my muscles start to get tight. So I guess what that tells me is that my muscles require a heck of a lot more detox to feel good than my head requires.
