My brain is sometimes buffering or completely turned off, it seems. Or, I've just dealt with a symptom for so long, I just stopped paying attention to it but I've had this weird leg pain that seemed to fade a bit since starting tx and has resurfaced in the past few months and I realized I have never identified it.
I think since around the time I was initially infected w/ Lyme & Co I have had weird pressure around my legs and feet - mainly below the knee. And it would be fairly unnoticeable until I would walk some distance. Then it would be very hard and painful to walk - like everything from knee down would start to stiffen up, I would have a hard time bending at the ankle to walk, the skin would feel like it was on fire or that someone was stabbing me.
When I'm working at my computer during the day I usually get up and move around every 15 min or so (especially because all I really do all day is pee) or while I was working at the office I was always on the move and rarely sitting down at my desk. But I was always more sedentary at night and would sit for hours at my computer... and I would eventually feel like something was biting my legs below the knee, around ankles or sometimes my feet but mainly calves. Biting - as in sharp, pricks or jabs of pain.
I literally thought something was biting me. I came up with several plausible scenarios and remedies that sometimes worked. But now I'm thinking it might have something to do with the other weird leg issues.
I have had recurring EM-type rashes on my shins ever since starting the abx, which nearly faded immediately after busing biofilms but I also have a strange, baseball-sized "mottled" rash on my left calf. It's been there since I started tx and has never faded. If all this leg stuff is circulatory issues, maybe that's part of it too.
Would love to hear your ideas...
TIA
