So I have Lyme and while waiting at the hospital to get an Elisa titer done for my son due to a weird rash a few weeks back, I found a tick nestled in his neck.
Our ped said there's nothing to do, just wait and see if any symptoms appear. Which I disagree with. But here's my question. I pulled a tick off him last October and he got an Elisa test two months later, it was at .22. His most recent one from Friday came back and was .33, both negative. But why would it rise? My ped refuses to run the western blot I have tried to fight the fight. We are retesting my son in 6 weeks due to the newest tick. Any advice or thoughts?
Kak - can you take your son to a different Dr. and get antibiotics a.s.a.p. 4 weeks is recommended.
"Get it Right...Treat the Bite" - this is from THE pediatric LLMD Dr. J's website.
I would get an Igenex test kit and do the lyme WB Igm and IgG for $210. Just wait the 6 weeks before you do the blood draw.
