Question

I've gotten some great questions over the years but yesterday, I got one like no other. I couldn't stop laughing. True story, I got a call from the administrator of a 4 year college that was established 113 years ago. He told me that because of my degree, I was qualified and could legally teach a college Chemistry course and he asked me if I would teach a Chemistry 101 class this fall. I politely declined but couldn't stop laughing. I hated all 4 years I took chemistry in college and I'm pretty sure there are better candidates out there. I believe that is the first and last time that I will ever get that question.

I am opening a retail pharmacy in a month or so and my banker had given him my number. Of all things, I didn't expect that question. I think my wife laughed more than I did.

Never heard of it before. A quick search showed it's effectiveness in treating various types of tumors. It was not effective against others. It shares characteristics with other metals like Al and Thalium so too much of it would be a bad thing. It does cause kidney issues and hyperfusion would be necessary to avoid nephron damage during treatment. One study showed that 69% to 91% was recovered in the urine so the body seems to retain some of it.

Just from the little I know about other metals, I would say that it is possible that the gallium is incorporated into the cellular structure of a pathogen which limits its ability to influence our physiology. It is plausible that it helps us kill what we need to kill. This is just pure speculation after reading about it for 2 minutes so who knows.
