Major relapse

I'm thinking the immune response (13 bands) was a good thing. Most of the super sick people never get a full on positive. Since it is an antibody test based on your immune response I would guess your immune system is putting up a good fight. That would be my uneducated opinion (-: I hope I'm right so you can beat this soon.

Did you always have sweats or just since the tickbite? I've had them off and on my whole life since college (lived in a basement apartment). It could also be mycoplasma, babesia, lyme, heck probably a lot of pathogens out there that cause them. If you can tolerate azithromycin, it might be a good base drug since I'm pretty sure it hits all three B's and mycoplasma. It can cause problems with ears - ototoxicity - so be aware of that.

WV Mike go after those co-infections it may be the key to feeling better esp the babesia. Babesia is a nasty ****** and can take a long time to get over. My wife just started treating if after being sick over a year and treating lyme with a few abx and tinidazole and got nowhere. She's getting her proverbial butt kicked now cause the babesia bugs have been shaken out of their tree so to speak and running havoc. It gets worse before it gets better...

I was put on Flagyl last as a cyst buster, and my Internist prescribed it based on the treatment protocol he got from an LLMD in my State. Very high dosage every day. Every 8 hours! No pulsing. Before too long I was getting violent, and stopped due to fear I might kill someone. I swear it was that bad!

I tried it again as a test about 3 weeks later and BLAM! The rage thing came right back. That was almost 2 years ago. I saved the remainder and handed it over to my daughter to alternate now with her doxy that she's been taking for a month. I told her 2 days starting with just one flagyl, no doxy, and then after 2 days back on the doxy alone. Was going to start her like that.

While we were discussing this I happened to be talking to a Lyme friend that's in France and he said when Flagyl does this, it's hitting Bartonella. Bart herx is the rage thing from the Flagyl!

My daughter and I both have strong symptoms of Bart. I'm going to keep her on it, with the heavy detox instructions. I also have her on Japanese Knotweed because it does have a bit of cyst busting capabilities too.

She's off of everything right now, she's having her Gall bladder surgery finally, this coming Tuesday.

So, it seems to be Bart that doesn't like the Flagyl, but that means it's hitting it, so....I think Girlie has a good idea with the pulsing plan. It is the logical thing to do, IMO.

I didn't know Flagyl is effective for Bartonella.
