Hello,
I am 30 yr old female and I am having a severe Lyme and Babesia flair up. I am currently still on daily tx protocol so I am herxing bad from that alone. Add on that I had severe surgery 2 months ago that had complications and had to move out of state for help and did so in my own. I'm curious what does everyone do for pain control when it gets really bad? It's all over but scapula to top of head hurt in a severe way. I've tried fioracet and ultram as well as flexaril at night but still waking up miserable. Any thoughts? Allergic to aspirin and butrans so that knocks quit a bit out. I should also say I am on my feet all day because I have a toddler and work. I need to find relief. So curious what has calmed everyone down. I've tried massage, chiropractor, Edson salt baths, herbs, essential oil deffuser, heat and ice packs (all day), arnica, bio freeze and much more as far as holistic approach.

Hi LoveALymee - welcome!
I have just put up with my pain. The epsom salt baths do help me though.
The joint and muscle pain has always been tolerable for me...but the nerve pain (left scapula/arm/hand) is awful.
I finally decided to try Gabapentin...it didn't work for me, but I only tried a lower dose: I think it was 300 mg 3X daily.
If you haven't tried it...maybe ask your Dr. about it. Many people do get good results with the Gabapentin..and others use Lyrica (similar med)

Lemon water, green juice, lots of water, charcoal, alka-selzter gold - one after the other in no particular order. Massage just releases more toxins and can make you herx worse.

LoveALymee - maybe try a few more detox methods.
Are you taking a binder?

Curcumin with sunflower lecithin reduces inflammation and took away most of my pain. I use Curcum-Evail by Designs for Health, but there is an exact replica made by Adaptogen Research that is cheaper. Some reviewers say it doesn't work as well, I haven't noticed too much of a difference. I buy a bottle of each and mix them. Started on 1/ day, now on 2 / day.
There are cheaper options that use black pepper for absorption (you need pepper or fat to absorb it, regular turmeric supplements won't work), but I haven't tried them.
I'm also on 2000 mg/ day of fish oil (TG Triglyceride form, DHA and EPA) which is supposed to help inflammation but i didn't notice a difference til I took Curcumin.
