Does this symptom even make sense?

Hi all,

I've asked my LLMD this and he thinks it's unusual and has no explanation. He did say he'd write me a script for short, read on, it gets weirder.

My first symptom and worst symptom was severe burning sensations in my thighs. Somewhere a few years in it occurred to me the burning sensation only occurs in pants. As soon as I put them on, there it is. 99% of the time in shorts nothing. I can have a blanket over my legs and no similar symptom.

I've tried EFT, TRE and a bunch of other psychological techniques to break this but it seems to be real.

An I rationally know it doesn't make sense (I actually think it's really silly), but I thought I'd though it out there for thoughts.

Does it happen regardless of the material type? Denim? Khakis? Etc

BTW, since this stuff all started for me, nothing sounds irrational or weird anymore. I believe you, and I hope you can figure it out!

I guess that makes me feel better, at least I'm not alone.

I had a bout a 2 month period where after I'd shower I'd have severe itching in my lower legs for 5-10 minutes. I forgot about this symptom but I remember not wanting to shower. Then it thankfully went away.

It doesn't seem to matter, jeans, cotton, etc.

I am dealing with the shower issue right now! Lower legs are the worst, but sometime the back as well.
Do you also have skin writing or a hives issue by chance?
I think lyme has affected our mast cells.
Have you done testing for any coinfections or do you and your doctor suspect any?

Greatest and truest lyme line in the world!

Honestly, every time something strange happened to me I just thought to myself (and sometimes out loud) "just another lyme symptom."

Absolutely the truth! I call Lyme with each weird or new pain.

The burning sensation sounds like Small fibre neuropathy? Maybe its' because the blanket is softer than the jeans?

I always thought it might be some kind of peripheral neuropathy. It's just weird with the pants thing. But is sounds like others have had similar experiences.

Maybe the softness makes a difference. I do have some cozy sleepy plants that are blanket like and I get the burning in those, too.

For awhile I thought I might be allergic to work (when I have to wear long pants)
