Hello, everyone. I'm here looking for answers for my best friend's family. His younger sister is 14 years old, and for the past 4-5 months has been very sick. She's experiencing bladder incontinence, water on the brain, and is constantly in excruciating pain to the point where she had to be homeschooled for the last month of the school year and will be doing the same as this new one begins. Out of the 5 tests for Lyme, she tested positive for only one of them, but Lyme seems to be the only option at this point. They recently drained the fluid around her brain and while it should have given her immediate relief, it didn't help at all. Drinking fluids puts unbearable pressure on her urinary tract and bladder.
Has anyone had experience with this? I am very close to the family and while of course I'm not a doctor, I thought that perhaps doing some research would help. Lyme is very prevalent in our area.
Thank you so much in advance.
