Hi all,

First post. I recently had 3 rounds of testing done after unexplained fasciculations and pain--two IGeneX and one from ArminLabs in Germany. I am hoping to get a little bit of light shed on my IGeneX results below (negative #'s have been omitted). Any info is appreciated. Thanks very much in advance.

Lyme IgM (Round 1 - March 2017)

Babesia FISH - POS

Hi 4onthefloor - welcome!

Well, your Igenex report should say Igenex Positive on both of them for Lyme.

Why did you retest with those results? Were you trying for a CDC positive result?

and you tested positive for Babesia.

Do you have a LLMD already?

Thank you, Girlie. Yes, both are positive. I should have been more clear as I am trying to decipher the bands and determine if there was a chance of a false positive. Opinions on the efficacy of the tests (including the babs FISH) are pretty conflicting from what I've found. Will check out the welcome thread and the link that jrpsf posted (thanks!).

I have a LLMD but thought I'd connect with a community for feedback as well. Thanks again!

No - not false positives. A positive relies on lyme specific bands...

Positive is not all that common...you hit the jackpot with that .

Not exactly the jackpot I was hoping to hit at this stage in my life smile. I fall into a category of having been asymptomatic (until now), undiagnosed and untreated for many years--verifiable bites would have been well over a decade ago. This has been in my body a very long time, and it's interesting that it would finally show symptoms. I will have to poke around the board for similar cases.

For me, it was relief finding a cause to my multi-systemic symptoms. And having faced the possibility of an MS/ALS/Parkinson's diagnosis...well you know what I mean.

But that doesn't explain the pain - does it?

Have you done Dr. Horowitz lyme questionnaire?
