I just joined this site and was wondering if anyone can suggest a alternative Doctor in the Hudson valley N.Y. Area ? I was recently diagnosed with Lyme for the 5th time and my infectious disease Doctor said I was reinfected and that it is not chronic Lyme . I'm currently taking amoxicillin 15mg a day . Can no longer tolerate doxy . would like to seek some holistic help. I would appreciate any suggestions .
Thanks

Here are some sites that may be helpful in finding a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor. You really should ask if they are ILADS trained, in my opinion.
/sites.google.com/site/lymedoctors/new-york
/globallymealliance.org/education-awareness/find-medical-professional/
ilads.org/ilads_media/physician-referral/

Welcome, Gravel1!
For members recommendations, start a new thread: "Looking for alternative Dr. in Hudson Valley, NY."
Then enable your email (through 'my profile') so members can send you names privately.
We don't post the names on here for the Doc's privacy and protection.
In addition to members' recommendations, you can email me and I will check my list of LLMD's.
How long did you treat your previous lyme infection?
I'm not sure how your Dr. can say that it's a new infection...rather than a relapse.
Is that a typo ? amoxy 15 mg per day?
We do encourage our new members to read through the "New to Lyme?.Start Here!" thread - it's packed full of useful information.
