Just tested urine positive for Lyme. Dr wants me to start Biaxin shots once a week X6 weeks. Been positive for most infections in the past many years, and cleared most but not EBV, been active for a while. Now more neuro symptoms, huge anxiety, buzzing inside and all the cognitive declines, and right now lots of life stress. Does anybody have any suggestions? Said it helps with autoimmunity, and also Lyme brain. Thx!

Do you have a lyme literate Dr.?

Biaxin is a good antibiotic for lyme...but I'm not familiar with the shots.
Do you have bartonella, as well?

If you're going to do the antibiotic route, I'd get a LLMD (if you don't already have one) - you will need more than just biaxin.

I did Biaxin and Ceftin for about a month. Pill form. I only lasted a month and got stomach issues and moved to herbs.

Yes, I have LLMD and I was mistaken it is Bicillin injections and not sure of I should start. I really want it to help with brain function. I have anxiety through the roof, and pretty down, and my cognitive functions, paying attention, memory, word retrieval, sequencing, and decision making is really bad. This is so hard. I cycle with this now for a very long time. Then it lifts and I am ok for a year or so, then with life stress, which I have a lot of with my 29 yo son with lots of issues, living back home, it gets bad again. My nervous system is shot right now. ugh. thanks for listening. Having a hard time deciding about a once a week shot. I guess it would bypass my stomach for those issues. Then do I really believe this is Lyme brain? The Lyme protein did show up in my urine as of a few weeks ago.

Bicillin injections can be effective, and may be a good start for you.

I see you were positive for bartonella in 2014 - did you treat that ?
