Kudzu or Greater Celandine for brain inflammation

Anyone have experience with these for encephalopathy? They are both mentioned in Buhner's bart book for CNS involvement but he mentions kudzu for those who have had encephalitis, which i have. It seems celandine is used more for people with nerve pain, right? I'm not one to treat symptoms but if i couod find something to help with the dissociation/light sensitivity/spacial problems that would be really great

Are you doing buhner's protocol? What herbs are you already taking?

I ask because I want to make sure you have Japanese Knotweed under your belt and some others.

For me, my head pain was greatly reduced with JK and the rest of the core protocol. Then I added in Red Root, because it was my lymph nodes in my head that were swollen. I also did lymph massage. Wow, was that a miracle for me.

I took the Kudzu and Greater Celandine for many months...and didn't get any results with it.

That doesn't mean it won't work for you, though.

Im on the full dose of Buhner's bart and mycoplasma protocol:

Japanese Knotweed
Chinese Skullcap
Cordyceps
Red Root
EGCG
Hawthorn
Sida Acuta
Houttuynia
Isatis
Alchornea

I have encephalopathy though and nothing seems to help with the dissociation and spaciness at all so if there's an herb that may help im willing to try it

I have read of Kudzu helping some members on this forum.

How much are you taking of each herb?

Have you thought about calling an herbalist - Buhner recommended one?

Have you been on the Buhner protocol for at least 3 months? It does take time for symptoms to go away. I had head pain that was not helped by narcotics and finally after 4 months on full Buhner core protocol, it finally started to go away a little at a time. Awww, those days of no pain were like pieces of heaven. And they came more and more often.

Im at 1/2 tsp of all of them, knotweed i take as powder and i take 3 Tbsp/day. It's only been 1 month though.

It's tough to navigate what works/what doesn't because things take so long, you can't exactly "try" something out for a week to see if it helps.

ha, Celandine! great, i had an unopened bottle from iherb, they sent me the wrong herb, asked for red root and got celandine. now ill give it some use ! smile

I have tons of head pressure from babesia that makes my brain feel swollen. I have taken kudzu 1/4 tsp 3X day for the most part for a month and it has had no effect for me so far. I have also taken Vervain for headaches with no success. I haven't given up yet because I've had these symptoms for a while.

Everyone is different and kudzu may work for you. I had many people on Facebook tell me that it really helped them which is why I tried it.

I've been using Kudzu root and it's been helping me a great deal with the brain pressure. I hope you find what works for you soon!

Loutucky - Buhner states that you can raise the dose to 1/2 tsp 3 times a day - you might want to consider this to see if it will help more.
