Llmd in Hawaii, San Franscico or Sacramento

My 15 yr old daughter rec'd a positive Elisa, as well as a positive IgG 66, IgG41, Neg IgG WB Interp
Positive IgM 41, IgM 23, & Positive IgM WB Interp,
Several yrs ago, when stationed in Germany, she had a bullseye rash & was given antibiotics for 7 days I believe, we never went back for follow up as they just said take all meds and she'll be fine.
She was bitten a few times stateside but none were attached like in Germany, which leads us to believe she's had lyme's for a few years now.
Presently we're stationed here in Hawaii and our PCM has referred us out to ID, Was wondering if anyone know of an llmd in Hawaii, San 'fran, or Sacramento?
She is being seen by a civilian Neurologist outside of the military health system which has helped us as they will usually order whatever labs we request. Military health system not so much. We have an upcoming appointment with Neuro and from lurking on here for a few days I know that we're suppose to check for co infections. I looked on the IGEnx site and there are many, so in order of importance which lab test should I be requesting next? Appreciate any feedback you can provide.

Hi DRAGONFLYZ - welcome to our community!

I'm so sorry your daughter has lyme disease - but am glad you found your way here. Unfortunately your daughter was under-treated with the 7 days of antibiotics. ( should have been treated until symptom free PLUS another 4 weeks)

At this point I don't have any LLMD's listed for Hawaii.

But, I do have some for SF and Sacramento.



If you don't get some recommendations from members...send me an email and I will share what I have. (I don't have experience with any of them though)


It's not necessary to test for the co-infections...unless you want to. Some LLMD"s will just diagnose clinically, others will have you test for the ones they want.

You might want to wait until you see a LLMD before testing the co's.

Thanks for your response. Looking back on it, yes she was undertreated and honestly at the time we didn't know any better ourselves either. This is one of those times I wish I could rewind the clock go back in time and do things differently.
my next step is to start her on probiotics before she starts antibiotics and infuse her with things that will build up her immune system.
