Recommended Labs for Bartonella Testing

I have a lab slip for Quest from my doctor for Bartonella testing, but I'm hesitant to have them do it. I've not read about confidence with them for tick-bourne testing. What are the current recommended labs for Bartonella testing?

I've read Galaxy Labs is a good option or the FISH test from IGenex. Fry Labs also made someone's preferred list for some of the co-infections, including Bart. Are these still the best options or are there others, and is one better for Bart than another?

I've heard Galaxy is good for Bart - but it is more expensive, right?

Galaxy tests for the most species of bart (14, I believe) whereas most of the other labs only test for two species or simply BLO (bart like organisms). Interestingly enough, DNA Connexions (tests for 3 species) is the only one that tests for bartonella bacilliformis. Galaxy says that b. bacilliformis isn't in the U.S. and has a different basic genetic sequence (or something like that), so they have not developed a test for it. Anyway, not sure if you're trying to nail down the specific species or just want to know if you have bart as a co-infection. If the latter, Galaxy's expensive PCR test may be overkill.

Suspecting I may have Bart based on a lot of my symptoms and feedback from others I wanted to get tested for it, and just wanted to see where the best odds were for actually detecting it if indeed I do have it. I've read that some labs, like Quest that I have a lab slip for, only tests for 1-2 strains. Didn't want to waste my time with it if the odds were slim-nil they'd do thorough enough testing. All I need is another neg test for my PCP to say "see I told you so".
