Bartonella Success with Biaxin + Rifampin?

My antibodies from Galaxy Diagnostics was right at the cutoff limit of 1:64, and there was no PCR result in the triple culture. Due to no PCR result and the low antibodies, my ID doc believes it to be a false positive.

Has anybody with bartonella been treated with the Dr. M protocol of biaxin + rifampin? What was your experience with the protocol? Are you cured?

This is the only positive test I have. My W. Blot was completely negative
I am seeing Dr M. in September.

i have done a few months with Biaxin and Rifampin - but started with minocycline...and then went back to minocycline.

I am not 'cured'. I am now treating Babesia - wondering if that is why I didn't fully heal with bart treatment.

I treated bart for over a year - I think it was 17 months in all...too long without doing babesia IMO.

After one year of treatment - I had a PCR (blood) positive for bart though..so it can take a long time.

You're seeing the Dr. M that (the bart guru)?
