relapse (after two years)?

It's been awhile since I've been on here. I've been off meds for ~2 years (after a multi-year bout with Lyme). I went to urgent care last week and was diagnosed with a pinched nerve in my neck --- The pain occasionally radiates along my shoulder and arm. They put me on 5 days of prednisone. The weird thing is that my pain is now migrating to other regions of my back which makes me believe that it might be more than just a pinched nerve. I distinctly recall the weird mitigating pain I experienced years ago with Lyme. I also had a history of back/neck pain when I was ill with Lyme.

I'm especially concerned as my wife is expecting our first child in 4.5 weeks and I'm totally miserable. I made an appointment with a chiropractor for later this week and will also schedule an appointment with a neurologist if things don't improve by the end of the week. Should I call my LLMD or should I wait and see what happens? Any other thoughts/suggestions are appreciated.

Agreed, call your LLMD and get back into treatment asap. You want to be ready to welcome that new little baby into this world, and feeling like that will get in the way - not to mention how it will affect your health down the road.
