I don't know if my sore feet, muscles and tendons are Lyme related or from Cipro toxicity. Not sure which is the worse of the w evils.

Just keep on treating Naomi.

I gave up guessing what was causing what. Too many symptoms overlap with lyme and the co-infections and there is no reliable testing for co-infections.

I just kept on treating and Never Give Up.

Naomi - Have you tried other abx for Lyme?

Because of Cipro's black box warning of tendon rupture - I won't take that or any of the fluoroquinolones.

The fact that you have tendon soreness while on that med is concerning.

I wouldn't just keep treating with that antibiotic.

Black box warning labels are not common and are something to be taken seriously.

If you're treating Bart - have you tried Rifampin?

Hi Naomi

Just wondering if these issues started after you began taking Cipro or if you had them before?

The sore feet especially the soles was happening for me before I was even diagnosed.

Just a thought for ya.

I also had sore soles before. The muscle pain stopped (upper arms are bad too) for about 2 weeks after 2 months of doxy, now I'm on rifampin.

Naomi I'm not so much concerned about the soles of the feet (classic bart symptoms) ...but the tendon pain you're experiencing - I am.

I can tell you the Cipro toxicity IS the worst of the two evils. You don't want to be floxed! Seriously - there are other antibiotics you can try. If you're not stopping it right away...then please keep an eye on it...and discuss these symptoms with your LLMD. Give him a call.
