One of my symptoms gets worse when I lie flat on my back. The LLMD said its 'shifting inflammation' whatever the heck that means ;) Anyone have any other insight into why this happens?

Hi Rikky. I am curious what symptom gets worse when lying flat. I need to be propped up when I go to bed due to the stupid phlegm build up. My breathing is a bit worse, too. Interesting that the doc said it was shifting inflammation. I wonder if this is true.

Yes a vast majority of my symptoms occur when I'm laying down. Something about
the body being in a resting, prone position.
Don't know why but, "glad" to hear I'm not alone on this.

I get increase in some symptoms when I'm laying and even worse when Im sitting.
Standing is the best for me.
My right leg "buzzes" when I lay down on my back.
My bouts of sweating happen more when I'm sitting or laying down.

Yes when laying down for bed increase in symptoms. But for me currently it could it be that I am in a more quiet , settled mode and become more aware of the symptoms.

I'm more likely to feel the muscle twitches and pokes when I'm laying down, especially for bed. Feet numbness worse when sitting and hand numbness during sleep.

I think in part it's because you're a little quieter and notice all the things going on. There is also a shift in blood pressure when you lay down. I notice more twitching, stomach movement, vibrating when I lay down. I try to get up and move as much as possible. Not always easy.
