In Combating Biofilms, Schaller says that D-Amino acids can be used to break up biofilms. I guess it's because the body is expecting Amino Acids, not D-Amino acids, so the biofilms use the D-Amino acids to build their biofilm houses, but when they use these, they end up falling apart. That's the gist I got from the book. Has anyone here tried this?
Eugenol sounds a bit more promising, and tried and true, being that dentists use this regularly. I just ordered some. Not sure on the dosing though.
