My posts aren't for everyone, but there are quite a few on this forum that do a lot of research and can follow them even when they are word heavy. I don't sugar coat the wording so people who don't know what I am talking about can research on their own and learn about our conditions and what I'm talking about. I know everyone isn't well enough to do that but the more I can help with their own research, those people often post less wordy things to help those people who aren't able to research.
I have a file saved that is about 3 pages of quotes that come directly from the literature. They are just things I wanted to remember but I knew I wouldn't be able to. They have a vast range from nematodes to molybdenum and far in between. It comes from years of reading and is a peak into my strange little world. To me, they help put the pieces of the puzzle together. For others, it may be something they don't know about and wish to research.
Here is an example of a quote in my file:
The molybdenum cofactor is a pterin found in a wide variety of molybdenum¬ containing enzymes such as xanthine oxidase, nitrate reductase, sulfite oxidase, fonnate dehydrogenase, and aldehyde oxidase.
As an example, the above quote may help someone like the person the other day where I mentioned a BHMT mutation with caffeine issues. A molybdenum deficiency could alter xanthine oxidase and alter caffeine elimination. Since many of us have acetylaldehyde issues and the aldehyde oxidase contains both a molybdenum and a pterin, that person may not have enough molybdenum or pterins. It would be something worth looking into. A solution could be as simple as eating more molybdenum and pterin containing foods or it may not help at all. We don't know unless we try it.
If you would like a copy of my quotes, email me and I'll get it to you.
