I have been looking into this a bit more. I didn't realize this but it seems like there's two types of disability. There's disability through the gov't/social security, and then there's disability offered through insurance companies. My company does offer disability. Although it's a little tricky to figure out how it works exactly. Obviously insurance companies try to deny your claim around every turn, so I will probably need a lawyer to have a shot at getting disability out of the company. The lawyer costs 25 percent of what you make up to 6k, I believe.
According to this list, Lyme disease is a common claim for disability insurance. Just because it's common, doesn't mean that it gets approved, I suppose:

Actually, he explains this a little bit more here:

I was wondering, can your LLMD be considered your PCP? Most PCPs, like mine, are anti-Lyme and will say you don't have lyme and give you poor testing that says your negative, when Igenex says you're positive. My PCP gave me a test and it said I was negative for Lyme, and this is just going to hurt my case.
