Hey
Does anyone know if you have to be off medications for the most accurate results for the DNA Connexions test?

I had the test, but I wasn't on medication at the time, so I don't know. Can you call them and ask?

I would call their customer service department. I called them and they put a doctor on the line to speak to me.

My LLMD told me to stop abx 2 days prior to taking a urine sample. This way the bugs have a chance to propagate and come out of hiding. I've heard others say a few days longer. The other thing you need to do (i think per their instructions) is to perform moderate exercise as that get the blood flowing and opens up areas that may be harboring pathogens so they come out to play.

I've heard mixed reviews on how effective these tests are. I did it Dec of last year and my Lyme showed up but not my babesia and I know I still had it at the time.

I think Igenex is still the gold standard (or one of them)

My Igenex was negative as I did not have all the required bands. 39 was indeterminate on my Igenex. DNA Connexions was positive for Lyme and ehrlichia. I'm convinced I have Bart based on signs and symptoms but that didn't show up. I had the urine test.

Some LLMD's don't even bother with testing because of how many false negatives they can generate instead they go on symptoms. If I could go back in time I'd not of done a single test and saved all that money.
