My thyroid is getting goofy from lymes. My tsh was 8.76, very high. I was put on synthroid and had lots of bloodwork done about a week later. My pcp said the tsh looked ok now but i had elevated thyroid antibodies. He mentioned maybe graves disease? Going to make an appointment with an endocrinologist. Anyway i was feeling a little better until yesterday. Now all of the heart symptoms came back last night. My neck swelled up on the right side, a knot maybe the size of a vending machine rubber ball or shooter marble. So i'm thinking it's the thyroid but i did cheat on my diet yesterday.
I rode along in the side by side with my son while he planted some chestnut oak saplings. First time i have been out in awhile. We have lots of red and white oaks on the property(wife's uncles property) but no chestnut oaks so he planted 20. While he was planting i drove to the paw paw thicket to see if they were ripe yet because i want to make a batch of paw paw mead. They were ripe and i couldn't help myself, i love paw paws. I have been sugar free this whole time, no fruit, but i thought what the heck and ate about a dozen paw paws. Once a year treat. Alot to eat at once i know but they're so good. Last night was terrible. Heart palpitations, chest pains, tight chest, general not right feeling, the whole nine plus the normal back, legs and joints hurting and ears ringing.
So what do you guys think? Thyroid or could a one time diet cheat do that? Or just a coincidental flare up? Lymes caused all of these heart symptoms in the beginning. Thyroid only recently went south but i have heard that thyroid can cause these symptoms as well. I'm getting really frustrated with feeling like this all the time. If i could just get past the heart symptoms. I'm into my fifth month of iv abx. When will things start to improve?
