Could it be Lyme?

I have been suffering for nearly 3 years with Lyme related symptoms. Tested positive on bands 41 and 66 IGG three years ago. I requested a new test a few days ago. The new test came back positive on 4 bands. Bands 23,41,58 and 66 IGG. I can’t really afford the IGeneX test right now. Long term disability doesn’t exactly pay a lot. What do you guys think? Could this actually be Lyme? I did work outdoors as a cable technician for nearly 10 years when my symptoms started. Dizziness, depression, anxiety, headaches, balance problems, muscle twitching achy joints and joint popping, shooting pains, tender and sore muscles, muscles tire very easily, heart palpitations, swollen ankles, numbness and tingling in arms and hands, general stiffness, bladder problems, bowel problems, on and off again swollen lymph nodes in my throat, a general weird feeling throughout my muscles and sleep disorders such as extreme fatigue and insomnia. I am most likely leaving stuff out. My doctor seems to be clueless. I was diagnosed as Fibromyalgia at the end of 2015 by a rheumatologist, most likely due to my mother having the same diagnosis. Just looking for any input anyone is willing to offer.

Thanks for the reply. Technically the test was negative, as the CDC requires 5 bands for a positive. I personally think the CDC guidelines are inappropriate. I was pointing out that I was positive on 4 of the 10 bands. 1 band shy of actual diagnosis. The nurse called me saying the test was negative. I left a message with the doctor to call me. I want to see why he thinks I tested positive on 4 bands if he thinks it’s not Lyme. I’ll enable emails and I guess I’ll have to start looking for a Lyme doctor.

I would say you definitely have lyme. Absolutely enough evidence to see a good LLMD. Also, look into bartonella, your swollen ankles and lymph nodes point to bart

I had 3 bands positive for lyme, and LLMD said it's lyme. I also have bartonella which is a common coinfection. The blood tests aren't as reliable for coninfections I believe. My LLMD treats coinfections based on symptoms.

Your symptoms sound like lyme to me. I saw rheumatologists also and they were looking for polymyalgia. I tested negative. There are many things, fibromyalgia one of them, that are often caused by lyme and misdiagnosed. If you were put on steroids for the fibro, that is contraindicated in lyme and can increase your symptoms.

You can start cleaning up your diet. My LLMD had me on a very restrictive diet a month before I started antibiox. No grains, no cow dairy, no nightshades, no alcohol, minimal sugar. Not fun but I noticed a change from diet alone.
