Igenex in Europe?

Hi, i live in Romania and i want to know if there is Igenex in Romania or somewhere around in Europe, as ELISA and WB test are trash. I've never taken one, but i'd rather save the money. Also, i'm afraid the are no LLMD in Romania.

Based on my symptoms, i must have lyme for atleast 8 years. What should i do?

Do they even test for European strains? Will they even be able to find it?

May be you should try the Elisa and WB as well, you might be lucky and get a positive. I am from Bulgaria ( I guess we share the same bacteria cause we are basically neighbours ) and I tested positive on the ELISA igm and igg at the same time.

Just to be clear - the Igenex does the WB as well. It's just a better lab - it specializes in tick-borne testing.

If you can get a WB from your lab...won't hurt to try. You may be lucky as Milenita said.

Try that first, and if negative...then test through Igenex...or ArminLab (Europe).

ArminLab is gaining popularity here in North America - it is a good lab to test for lyme.

I can't find the exact Bremen lab (maybe they moved out?)
But I found the MELISA test dr. K speaks, not in Bremen (but close to Dusseldorf , I think).

You could just give a call and ask for Lyme test?

But how long from the tick bite? I've had it maybe for years, but if yours is recent, then yeah, Wb and Elisa aren't completely useless.

I agree - do the WB and see what you get. Even if it's not a positive, having a lyme specific band is significant.


I was 14 months along when I tested and I had a positive IgM with Igenex.
