Sure sounds like it.
Check out the detox list and see if there is something you can add. When you add a detox method, you add it the same way you add medicine for treating lyme - start out with a low dose and slowly move up.
We have to baby ourselves when adding anything new. Here are some detox ideas, which I am sure you are familiar with, but just in case someone too shy to post is wondering:
www.tiredoflyme.com/detox-methods.htmlThis is my take on the whole situation. Just a good story, and no facts in this. So please, a grain of salt. When lyme figures out you are trying to kill it, it runs for cover. It searches for a good place to hide. It loves old injury sites. I think because the doors on an old injury site are ajar and not as secure and bolted as other healthy places.
At the same time, some lyme is caught and killed by the medicine. Oh and some just have died because they have done their job and it is old age for them. The immune system is trying its darnedest to kill the suckers also and it does get a few.
So here you have some dead toxins (lyme) ready to get out of you. Oh wait, there is all this other junk (toxins) wanting to get out too. You ate that stuff with sugar in it? You breathed that new carpet? Got in your hot car and smelled that plastic? Did you brush up against that bush and get pollen on you? Oh, that super fragrant woman you stood in line behind at the grocery store? And, the trace pesticides on your fruit or vegetables you could not wash off? And the hormones in your meat or dairy products?
Toxins. We come in contact with them every day. Too many to name. Our organs and systems are busy getting rid of these on a daily basis. If you add in dead lyme, sometimes you get an elimination highway that is all backed up.
Time to get the highway clear and moving well. That is where detoxing comes in. It helps keep things moving along and not getting clogged up. A clogged up highway and you have pain.
Anyway this is the story I tell when it comes to detoxing. We really should be doing it always, not just because we have lyme. Lyme just makes it MORE super necessary.
