No symptoms? So you're in remission?

I don't know why you couldn't have that procedure- how is it done? Do you have general anaesthetic for the procedure?

Is it something that's necessary? Does it involve injecting something into your veins?
I'm not sure I would want that - unless it was absolutely necessary - not for cosmetic reasons.


Can you not do the laser treatment on them?

Like with any surgical procedure, I would make sure to discuss your neuro Lyme with the doctors and anesthesiologist.

If they are unsure , I would seek out an Lyme literate surgeon/specialist. You could possibly contact ilads.org to see if there is any information there about having surgery or surgeons.

I understand you said this was a painful situation for you and I am sorry for that but If it were me I would make sure I had pretty solid answers about what may occur if I had surgery.

You want to stay in remission if possible.

I think that would be better than general anesthetic.

I think that will be much easier on the body than the general anaesthetic.

I had surgery with general anaesthetic before I knew I had Lyme - I knew something was wrong - but didn't know what.
In surgery for a couple hours.

I don't think I had an increase in symptoms soon after following the surgery.

You should be fine.
