Alkaseltzer Gold?

Does it have to be gold? I just ran out and it looks like the only way for me to get it is online. Can i use regular alka seltzer for the time being?

From what I have read here in the forum, it HAS to be Gold. And, it has been my observation that you can only get it online.

Thanks Peteza. Wasn't sure as I thought you use alka seltzer for PH reaons. And reguler alka seltzer accomplishes this. I assume there are some additives in regular alka seltzer that is not lyme friendly?

Yes, there is something 'extra' in the gold formula...and it doesn't have the aspirin in it.

the GOLD has:

Anhydrous Citric Acid (1000 mg), Potassium Bicarbonate (344 mg), Sodium Bicarbonate (Heat-Treated) (1050 mg).

The 'regular' one has:

aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) (ASA), sodium bicarbonate, and anhydrous citric acid.
