I totally forgot about these kind of Drs. My interest here lies in autoimmune and T cell function - not lyme.

Would imagine these Dr focus on aids/hiv today, but they were around before that epidemic.

It's a great question. Bumping to hopefully get more response.

Might be beneficial to have this kind of discussion w/ Dr J in DC? Maybe you already have? I say that because of his background w/ HIV.

I decided awhile back that once I was done w/ all the antimicrobials that I would focus on fecal transplant---I think this is the best way I can heal my gut given the issues I was born with and all the tx. And I'm hoping that is my key to optimal immune health. Maybe oversimplifying it. I'd like to know what an ENLIGHTENED immunologist thinks of that.

If you do find your way to a specialist - let us know.

Its a little odd that much of the lyme community has altered T cells (many do not know this), but this is kind of ignored like "oh well".....because even a majority of LLMDs dont understand it.

Immunologists are the ones that would know this- but they mostly see aids-hiv and cancer patients. Ifigured someone here would have seen one though. I cant be the only one who's thought this.

Not sure who Dr J is in DC. The one who sell J______n's formulas?

I think I'm going to ask my LLMD about this - I think she tested me for immune dysfunction early on. I must not have had issues - can't remember. Good question.

I know one person here tried this route in the past without any luck, but I'm bumping this up anyway.

LLMD's, NP , functional Drs- none seem to understand the immune system. Conventional medicine seems to just treat symptoms. I figured immunologists might know this stuff.......maybe not. Not lyme, but the immune system. T cells ect.

Obvious this is one of the most important areas of medical health, yet its ignored.
