So I have been taking Doxycycline, 100mgs x 2, once in the morning and once in the evening. After 3 days of extreme fatigue, dizziness, headaches and a bunch of other symptoms, I decided to pulse dose the remaining regimen. I still have those feelings, even now, when taking the meds. Has anyone else experienced this? Im a little disoriented and confused and have head pressure as well. I have a feeling of a "hat band" around the back of my head also. Thanks guys!

LymeWilly - I also have head pressure - the severity has fluctuated throughout my treatment.
In March I started treating Babesia and the head pressure increased greatly. Now it's not so bad most days.
I'm thinking it was Babesia and the treatment has worked on that symptom.

How long did you have Lyme symptoms before treatment started?

about 2 1/2 months. The doctor I saw was very unreliable and uneducated. She was unable to answer what tests were being ran for the diagnosis and didnt even mention co-infections. I had to suggest the tests that were provided and give them enlightenment as far as Lyme is concerned. I feel as though there was a major deficit in understanding between the doctor and I and not even sure if the treatment is accurate. I can feel the changes but Im wondering if the meds are making me feel so bad that when the effects start to diminish I appreciate how I felt prior to taking them lol

I'm sorry your MD doesn't seem to be on the ball - it's really great (and necessary!) that you are.

I've had the sx you describe off-and-on throughout my treatment experience and probably for multiple reasons so it's hard to say what is causing yours. I like the pulsing. You should also incorporate a solid detox protocol, which can help with some of those sx. You might be one of those people who herxes a little bit throughout tx or it's possible that 2 months is still not long enough for your body to acclimate to tx. Some of my sx were managed very easily even in the beginning. Some of them still pop up every now and then. And some still linger.

What detox are you doing?

Another thought I had - is usually doxy is prescribed at 200 mg twice daily.
